Many people recognize Technicolor from the Wizard of Oz but the technology was in use long before that movie.

Two and three strip Technicolor revolutionized the film industry. Directors redesigned their sets and films based on the Technicolor look.

Though the Technicolor company still exists, the process is no longer in use.
